please distribute as appropriate Today CVS issued a press release announcing that it will make its web site accessible by the end of this year and that it has already installed tactile keypads in all of its stores so that blind shoppers do not have to disclose their PIN when using a pin-based debit card. Today's announcement is the result of a settlement agreement that CVS reached with the American Council of the Blind, The California Council of the Blind, and the American Foundation for the Blind, using the Structured Negotiations process. The full press release is posted at: http://lflegal.com/2009/07/cvs-press/ The full settlement agreement is posted at: http://lflegal.com/2009/07/cvs-agreement/ A short summary of the web accessibility settlement agreements that have been reached using Structured Negotiations instead of litigation can be found at: http://lflegal.com/category/settlements/web-accessibility-settlements/ A short summary of the point of sale settlement agreements that have been reached using Structured Negotiations can be found at: http://lflegal.com/category/settlements/point-of-sale-settlements/ Lainey Lainey Feingold Law Office of Lainey Feingold 510.548.5062 |
